Festive Menu Items

Christmas and holiday recipes help create that gourmet feast at home. We have a selection of traditional Prince Edward Island recipes including Roast Turkey with Potato Dressing, Santa's Sugar and Spice Cookies and Holiday Cranberry Wreath. There are also some delicious Island recipes to bring some new flavours to your table this year; Crab Quickies, Rudolph's Taco Salad and Christmas Eve Seafood Chowder.

Chef Michael Smith, has also provided several of his favourite seasonal recipes. "As the star of the show the turkey will get the royal treatment, its breasts will be honey-brined and smoked, one leg will be turned into sausage and stuffed into the other and the carcass will become sauce – not gravy. We have lots to celebrate this year!"

Picture the Island, 2009 Photo Contest winners

Prince Edward Island Tourism has announced the winners of their “Picture the Island” photo contest. The overall standard of photography entered in the contest was outstanding and the judges had an extremely difficult task making the winning selections.

NEW "Forever Anne" website has been launched.

"Anne Fans" share and connect with other fans from all over the world and discuss how L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables has touched their lives and inspired them. We would like to invite "Anne" enthusiasts from all around the world to continue to join in the conversation with us as we celebrate the impact both Anne and L.M. Montgomery have had on the literary world and Prince Edward Island.

Island Weddings

Why does an Island wedding on an Island beach seem so much more romantic than the same event at a mainland location? We have to agree, there is a special magic associated with Island destinations and Prince Edward Island can provide that magic for romantic couples planning a wedding, honeymoon or just a cozy weekend getaway.
